The boreal expedition was a masterclass! I had an absolutely incredible experience, truly one of the most unforgettable I’ve ever had. I was blown away by the dramatic landscapes: waterfalls, black sand beaches, dramatic basalt columns, ice caves, and glaciers that looked like something from another planet.
Iceland can be “challenging weather wise” Our guides handled it flawlessly with such a professional style that it just felt like part of the adventure rather than a setback.
Every day was a new discovery. I felt like an explorer rather than a tourist. The natural beauty is simply unmatched, and the sense of peace and openness is something you can’t quite put into words.
I don’t have enough words to thank the “borealexpeditioniceland” team. The guides are legends, super knowledgeable about Iceland, its terrain, logistics, history and sagas. They know every corner of the island. They are friendly, professional and caring! Their vibrant spirit and passion for Iceland was contagious. They managed to turn a group of strangers into a tight-knit family.
What made the trip even more special was how well-planned everything was. The accommodations were thoughtfully chosen, comfortable, minimalists, and the hot tub was a plus at the end of the day. Furthermore, traveling with the renowned international Venezuelan chef Sumito Estévez was one of a kind experience! Every dinner was a masterclass in balance, flavors and presentation. Sumito took fresh local ingredients and elevated into something deeply soul-warming. and a multi-sensory experience. In addition, to his talent, warmth, and professionalism, Sumito is a storyteller. We loved hearing about the origins of certain ingredients or the inspiration behind a specific dish.
I highly recommend “borealexpeditioniceland” to anyone looking for a unique and breathtaking experience.
Massive thanks to the team who makes Iceland legendary. Kudos to Jose Antonio, Cristina, Fran, Jennifer and Jonathan!
Grateful, Jovi
